ti&m Aligns Leadership Structure Consistently Toward AI-Powered Innovation
ti&m anchors AI-powered innovation at the C-level: Philip Dieringer assumes the role of Chief AI Officer (CAIO), Simon Baumann expands his leadership responsibilities in German-speaking Switzerland.
ti&m, a Swiss leader in AI-powered software innovation, is strategically realigning its leadership structure: Philip Dieringer, who has been with ti&m for over ten years, assumes overall responsibility as Chief AI Officer (CAIO) for the consistent integration of artificial intelligence across all ti&m services—both internally and for its clients. Simon Baumann, who has been with ti&m for more than eleven years, becomes a member of the extended executive board and, in addition to his role as Head of Bern, takes on delivery responsibility for the Basel office.
“AI is not an add-on for ti&m—it is the engine of our entire value creation. With Philip Dieringer as CAIO, we are structurally embedding AI-powered innovation in our leadership. At the same time, we are strengthening our regional presence in German-speaking Switzerland with Simon Baumann. Both decisions reflect our clear strategy: sovereign software solutions delivered at speed to value,” says Thomas Wüst, CEO and owner of ti&m.
Philip Dieringer Appointed Chief AI Officer (CAIO)
Philip Dieringer is assuming the newly created role of Chief AI Officer (CAIO). For the first time in ti&m’s history, a dedicated C-level responsibility for artificial intelligence is being established. In this role, the long-standing ti&m employee will be responsible for the strategic and operational positioning of ti&m as an AI-powered innovation company, both internally and externally.
His mandate includes the further development and scaling of the ti&m AI Studio, the establishment of AI-powered engineering as the standard in software development, and the development of sovereign AI solutions for clients in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, and the public sector. The strategic guiding principle of ti&m serves as a compass: ti&m AI-powered innovation – sovereign software solutions delivered at speed to value.
Philip Dieringer will continue in his current role as “Head of New Offices” and will remain responsible for ti&m’s offices in Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf. The combination of both roles reflects the principle of “follow the customer”: ti&m follows its clients wherever they operate, bringing Swiss quality standards, AI-powered engineering, and digital sovereignty as export strengths into new markets.
Simon Baumann Takes on Additional Delivery Responsibility for Basel
Simon Baumann, previously Head of the Bern office, becomes a member of ti&m’s extended executive board and additionally assumes delivery responsibility for the Basel office as well as strategic responsibility for industry sectors. This consolidates the leadership of ti&m’s German-speaking Swiss locations outside Zurich under an experienced leader, creating the conditions for closer collaboration and accelerated regional growth.
Simon Baumann has been with ti&m for over eleven years and has been a driving force behind the company’s growth in Bern. He has a deep understanding of the needs of clients in regulated environments. The expansion of his mandate and his appointment to the extended executive board represent a clear commitment to regional presence as the foundation for sustainable client relationships.
Strategy: AI-Powered Innovation with Sovereignty at Its Core
These personnel changes reflect ti&m’s consistent strategic focus. As a Swiss software company, digital sovereignty lies at the heart of all its services: ti&m develops AI solutions that are transparent, efficient, and can be operated with full data control—on-premises or in sovereign cloud environments such as the ti&m Swiss Banking Cloud or the ti&m Swiss eGov Cloud.
With its AI Studio, AI Agents Hub, and tailored AI assistants for financial institutions, insurers, and the public sector, ti&m supports its clients from AI strategy through to productive implementation. At ti&m, AI-powered engineering means moving faster from idea to value—without compromising on quality, security, or sovereignty.
